My problem is related to the RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION question.. I have a similar problem, and the error message I receive is:
(102) RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: Connect to message server failed.
The error description is: Internal error.
We are using a JSP application with WebLogic on Solaris, to connect to SAP 4.0B. JCo 1.1
The application worked fine for a couple of hours, and then it cannot connect to SAP any more. And we receive the described error message. Thanks for any help.

Firstly, please upgrade to JCo 2.0.5 (although this will probably not fix your problem). Secondly, look for a file called DEV_RFC.TRC or similar and send it to SAP.

PROBLEM:

The following Contorl-M for SAP alert will appear on Control-M Configuration Manager (CCM):
- STATUS OF ACCOUNT <ACCOUNT NAME>, APPLTYPE SAP, AGENT <AGENT NAME> CHANGED TO UNAVAILABLE. Message from Agent
- SAP0001: Failed to connect to account <ACCOUNT NAME>

CAUSE:

The RFC connections on the SAP side are running out or Control-M for SAP is not able to establish connection with the SAP Server with the mentioned SAP Account

SOLUTION:

This problem might be present under following scenarios
A) The problem may be related to having too many connections hitting the SAP side.

There might be many accounts defined in the SAP CM on one Control-M/Agent, or multiple Agents with accounts that point to the same SAP system.
Starting with version 7.0.00, BMC Control-M for SAP checks each account status and thus uses an RFC connection to SAP.
RFC connections on the SAP side may be running out.
To address this problem reported in CAR00046210, please ensure to have at least Control-M for SAP version 7.0.00 fixpack2 or higher.

Workaround:
Consult the SAP admin to increase the number of RFC connections.

Another thing that can help is to reduce the number of connections the accounts can take up by reducing the ThreadsPerAccount parameter, please review the knowledge artticle 000101859 to understand the steps needed.
B) In case same Control-M Agent is being discovered in the Control-M Configuration Manager with the different alias.
In this situation, it was found in different sites where same Control-M/Agent and Control-M for SAP can be found in the Control-M Configuration Manager (CCM ) with the different alias names, in example, the hostname and the Fully Qualify hostname.
To prevent this alerts, please ensure to account is disabled in both references.
C) Control-M for SAP Account defined is not configured on the SAP Server as defined
- Verify the Control-M for SAP account defined on the Control-M for SAP Account Management on Control-M Configuration Manager (CCM)
- Delete the defined Control-M for SAP Account on the mentioned Control-M Agent if it is not a valid SAP Account
D) Restart the Control-M for SAP Container running on the Control-M/Agent
If on version 700 and restarting the agent does not help try to restarting the CM SAP container.
1. Stop the Control-M for SAP container:
On Windows:
sapcmbe stop
On Unix/Linux:
sapcmbe.sh stop
2. Restart the Control-M/Agent
3. Start SAP container by using or wait for it to be started automatically by any SAP request
On Windows:
sapcmbe start
On Unix/Linux:
sapcmbe.sh start
